What size are SPOR liquid inputs?
Product sizes are shown on each individual product page.
Because many concentrated biological inputs are applied at relatively low rates, even a small bottle can make a considerable volume of diluted solution.
Always check the individual product instructions before mixing.
How much diluted solution will a 100 mL bottle make?
It depends on the required application rate.
For example:
1:1000 dilution
100 mL input + approximately 100 L water.
1:500 dilution
100 mL input + approximately 50 L water.
1:100 dilution
100 mL input + approximately 10 L water.
These examples are for calculating dilution only.
They do not mean every SPOR input should be used at these concentrations.
Always use the application rate specified for the individual input and intended use.
APPLICATION & DILUTION
What dilution rate should I use?
There is no single dilution rate suitable for every SPOR input or every application.
Application rates can vary according to:
• Input
• Crop
• Growth stage
• Soil condition
• Foliar or soil application
• Environmental conditions
• Water quality
• Combination with other inputs
A rate such as 1:1000 may be appropriate for some biological inputs and applications, but it should not be treated as a universal rule.
Always refer to the individual product or application guide.
When using a preparation for the first time, test it on a small area before treating an entire crop.
What does a 1:1000 dilution mean?
A 1:1000 dilution is approximately:
1 mL input per 1 L water
Therefore:
5 L water = 5 mL
10 L = 10 mL
20 L = 20 mL
100 L = 100 mL
200 L = 200 mL
500 L = 500 mL
1000 L = 1 L
Can SPOR inputs be applied as a foliar spray?
Many biological and nutritional inputs can be used as foliar applications when appropriate for that particular product.
When foliar spraying:
• Use the correct dilution
• Ensure equipment is clean
• Filter preparations where required
• Obtain even coverage without excessive runoff
• Avoid unsuitable weather conditions
• Consider using an appropriate wetting agent where recommended
For many foliar applications, early morning or late afternoon is preferable to spraying during the hottest part of the day.
Always follow the individual application guide.
Can SPOR inputs be applied to the soil?
Many SPOR inputs can be incorporated into soil drenches, biological soil programs or soil-establishment systems.
Soil applications may be used to support:
Microbial activity
Organic-matter cycling
Root-zone biology
Nutrient cycling
Soil establishment
The appropriate input and concentration depends on the purpose of the application.
How often should I apply biological inputs?
There isn't one fixed schedule for every crop.
Frequency depends on the input, crop, growth stage, environmental conditions and purpose of the application.
Biological cultivation should respond to what is happening in the system rather than simply applying every product every week.
Observe first. Apply with purpose. Record the result. Adjust.
Can I mix several KNF inputs together?
Some KNF inputs are traditionally combined within established formulations, but compatibility should not be assumed simply because two products are biological or naturally derived.

Crop stage
Application method
Water quality
Input compatibility
Environmental conditions
Follow an established recipe or SPOR application guide rather than mixing products at random.
Can KNF and JADAM inputs be used together?
KNF and JADAM are separate farming systems with different preparation methods and philosophies, although growers may incorporate techniques from both into a broader biological farming program.
Compatibility should be considered input by input and application by application.
SPOR identifies KNF and JADAM preparations separately while exploring how each can contribute to regenerative cultivation systems.
WATER & SPRAYING
What water should I use?
Good-quality water is important when working with biological inputs.
Where practical, use:
Rainwater
or
Suitable dechlorinated water
Water quality can influence microbial preparations and spray performance.
Growers using bore, scheme or other irrigation water should consider factors such as:
pH • EC • Salinity • Hardness • Chlorine
Can I use chlorinated tap water?
Chlorinated water may negatively affect microorganisms in some biological preparations.
Where microbial activity is important, suitable rainwater or appropriately dechlorinated water is generally preferable.
The importance of this varies according to the preparation and application.
When is the best time to foliar spray?
Where appropriate for the product and crop, foliar applications are generally better performed during cooler, calmer conditions.
Early morning or late afternoon can help reduce:
Rapid evaporation
Heat stress
Spray drift
Potential leaf damage
Avoid spraying during extreme heat, strong winds or unsuitable weather.
Should I use JWA with every foliar spray?
No.
JADAM Wetting Agent (JWA) can improve wetting, spreading and coverage in compatible spray applications, but it does not need to be automatically added to everything.
Use it when the application benefits from a surfactant and compatibility has been established.
STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
How should SPOR biological inputs be stored?
Storage requirements vary between products.
As a general principle:
• Keep containers correctly labelled
• Protect them from excessive heat
• Keep them out of direct sunlight
• Prevent contamination
• Keep lids and dispensing equipment clean
• Store away from children and animals
• Follow the individual product's storage instructions
Some living or fermented preparations require different storage conditions from mineral or soap-based products.
Do KNF inputs expire?
Shelf life varies considerably between preparations.
Fermented plant products, microbial cultures, mineral extracts and JADAM preparations should not all be treated as though they have the same shelf life.
Refer to the individual SPOR product page for storage and shelf-life information.
If a product shows unexpected contamination, abnormal pressure, container damage or other significant changes, do not assume it remains suitable simply because it is fermented.
Is sediment normal?
Sediment or separation can occur in some natural and fermented preparations.
This does not automatically indicate that a product has failed.
Check the individual product instructions before use and filter preparations appropriately before using equipment with small nozzles or fine filtration.
SAFETY
Are SPOR agricultural inputs safe to drink?
No.
SPOR agricultural inputs are supplied for their stated agricultural use and should not be consumed unless a product is specifically manufactured, labelled and sold for human consumption.
Natural, fermented or biological does not automatically mean food-safe.
Keep agricultural preparations appropriately labelled and stored away from food and beverages.
Can biological inputs irritate the skin or eyes?
Yes.
Natural and biological preparations can still contain acids, alkalis, microorganisms, botanical compounds or other substances capable of causing irritation or allergic reactions.
Read the individual product information and use appropriate personal protective equipment for the task.
At minimum, consider the risks to:
Eyes
Skin
Respiratory system
Clothing
and follow the relevant safety information for the preparation being handled.
Are all natural farming inputs non-toxic?
No.
Natural does not automatically mean harmless.
Some botanical compounds are biologically active, while some JADAM preparations involve concentrated alkaline materials during manufacture.
Always distinguish between:
the concentrated ingredients used during production
and
the finished agricultural preparation used at its correct dilution.
Follow the relevant safety instructions.

What crops can SPOR products be used on?
Biological farming principles can be incorporated into many production systems, including:

Are SPOR products suitable for seedlings?
Some biological inputs may be suitable for seedlings at appropriate concentrations, while others may not be necessary or appropriate during early establishment.
Young plants can be more sensitive to excessive concentrations.
Use seedling-specific guidance and trial unfamiliar applications conservatively.
Can I use these inputs on fruit and vegetables?
Many biological cultivation inputs can be incorporated into fruit and vegetable production.
However, growers should consider the individual product, application method, crop stage, food-safety requirements and any applicable withholding or regulatory requirements.
Agricultural use should always follow the relevant product information.
KNF & JADAM
What is Korean Natural Farming?
Korean Natural Farming, commonly called KNF, is an agricultural approach associated with the work of Han-Kyu Cho.
It incorporates locally sourced microorganisms and farm-made fermented inputs to support soil fertility, plant nutrition and biological processes.
Common KNF preparations include:
IMO • LAB • FPJ • FFJ • FAA • OHN • WCA • WCP
What are Indigenous Microorganisms (IMO)?
IMO refers to microorganisms collected from biologically active local environments and cultivated through stages for agricultural use.
The concept is based on working with locally adapted microbial communities rather than treating soil simply as an inert growing medium.
Within KNF, IMO preparations are primarily associated with building biologically active soil systems.
What is JADAM?
JADAM is a Korean agricultural system focused strongly on simple, farm-made and low-cost agricultural inputs.
Common preparations include:
JMS — JADAM Microbial Solution
JLF — JADAM Liquid Fertiliser
JWA — JADAM Wetting Agent
JHS — JADAM Herbal Solution
JS — JADAM Sulfur
SPOR treats JADAM and KNF as related areas of biological farming knowledge while maintaining the distinction between the two systems.
What is the difference between KNF and JADAM?
Although both originated in Korea and encourage greater farm self-reliance, they are not the same system.
KNF is strongly associated with Indigenous Microorganisms and fermented natural farming inputs.
JADAM places particular emphasis on very low-cost, scalable preparations that growers can manufacture themselves.
SPOR studies and applies useful principles from both within a wider regenerative cultivation framework.
